Hot Thoughts

Spoon released their new track “Hot Thoughts” as a teaser for their upcoming same name album to be released March 17th. This is the first new Spoon we’e heard since their 2014 album “They Want My Soul”. I’ve been a Spoon-er since I first heard “The Way We Get By” on The O.C Soundtrack Mixย 1. After getting a taste of Hot Thoughts, I am very much looking forward to hearing the 10-track album.

This Old Dog

Mac DeMarco is releasing a new album and touring shortly thereafter – playing at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on May 13th. Being on my to see list for a very long time, this is one show I can’t miss. The new album This Old Dog comes out on May 5th, featuring 13 tracks, two ofย which can be heard at The Fader.ย Screen Shot 2017-01-31 at 7.05.02 PM.pngTickets for the Danforth Music Hall show go on sale Friday, and pre-sale is tomorrow. Not sure if I have what it takes to qualify for pre-sale – but hot damn I’m going to try.

More Bros

I can’t get enough of this song, and Wolf Alice in general. So nostalgia-filled and reminiscent on past simpler times.

Wolf Alice’s official debut EP “Blush” came out in 2013, followed by “Creature Songs” the following year. The official debut album “My Love is Cool” came out February 2015, and they have been a band to watch out for ever since.

“Tell Me” is the latest from the Currie siblings of the Sheepdogs latest side project, aptly titled Bros. It has just enough similarities to encompass that Sheepdog sound I love, while adding in some new unique touches. Currently number 1 on CBC Radio 2’s Top 20, Tell Me is the first track and single from the 10-track debut LP “Vol 1”.ย I hope there are many volumes yet to come.
