From Industrial Rock to the Blues

I have never been a Marilyn Manson fan. In all fairness, the extent of my knowledge runs pretty thin. I know he has a cover of the Eurythmic’s “Sweet Dreams“, and that has a music video that included Evan Rachel Wood rolling around on a bed covered in blood. I also know that he is an extremely eloquent speaker from Michael Moore’s “Bowling for Columbine“. I never really listened to his work, which is why I wasn’t going out of my way to listen to his latest album “The Pale Emperor.” However, I have to say I am actually digging his ninth studio album.

This is a totally new sound for Manson. His raw grungy voice really compliments the bluesy feel of the songs.
