Rolling Stone released its list for the 100 Greatest Songwriters of all Time.
I definitely agree with the top 10. From Paul Simon and Smokey Robinson, to Bob Dylan of course being number 1. Although John Lennon is probably rolling over in his grave that Paul McCartney beat him for second place.
I’m happy to see that great songwriting is truly appreciated. It seems that shouting about partying all night is what constitutes a good song in this day and age. However, there are so many new talented artists and songwriters still coming out today keeping this beautiful art alive. It’s nice to know that the power of language is still important to some people out there.
P.S. Love the shoutout to my girl Missy at #96!
